2NE1′s Sandara Park has been selected as a judge for a Filipino audition program.
Beginning this September, Sandara Park will be appearing as a judge on Filipino audition program Pinoy Boyband Superstar.
Pinoy Boyband Superstar is the Filipino version of the American audition program of the same name which aired last year. In addition to Sandara Park, famous celebrities Vice Ganda and Yeng Constantino will also be appearing as judges for the show.
Sandara Park shared her thoughts on the new role by saying, “I think there is no better way to study than to experience a variety of things in a variety of places. I think that all these experiences will help me tremendously.”
She continued, “This is very special to me because the Philippines is where I grew up, where I found my dream for music and where people loved me to be who I am today even though I am not Filipino. I want to thank all my fans in the Philippines who have loved me and waited for me.”
The broadcasting station ABS-CBN, which will air the program, is one of the largest broadcasting stations in the Philippines. It is especially meaningful as Sandara Park had appeared on the station in 2004 as a contestant of Star Circle Quest. She was widely popular through the program even though she was a foreigner and made it to the top 2.
